| I've been using 3.22 for a few days now, and I have to say that I haven't noticed any problems, crashes, craziness at all.
I have noticed one or two odd things, but I don't know if it's just me not doing things right.
1:
When I'm logged into a game, and I reach the idle timeout limit(an hour on most of my games), MUSHClient does not reconnect me, even though I have reconnect on disconnect selected. Usually the way I find out is I go to type something, MUSHClient pops up a notice telling me the remote host terminated the connection, and then it reconnects and I'm back to the login screen when I hit okay to clear the window.
2:
I have my window colors selected to grey text on a black background. This is carrying over to my notepad windows. I recall, in the past(I have always used the grey on black screen setup), that even though I had this selected, my notepad would always be black text on a white background. And silly me, I cann't for the life of me figure out how to fix it.
That's really the only odd things I've noticed. Other than that it's wonderful. Great job! | | Top |

This is probably because it doesn't realise you are disconnected. The connection is considered "up" until you try to use it and fail. An analogy would be with a telephone call. Say you rang someone, but didn't say anything for an hour, and they didn't say anything either, you couldn't be sure whether the call had been disconnected, or that you were both very quiet. However if you say something and don't get a reply, then you deduce the call has been disconnected.
What you could do is set up a timer to send something (say, every 5 minutes), which means it would then detect if you had been disconnected. In fact, doing that might stop the idle timeout altogether, although I wouldn't necessarily recommend that, as the idle timeouts were put there for a reason, which is to lower the load on a server, from people who aren't actually using it.

It will do that when you make a "recall" window, however a normal notepad window should be black on white. What method are you using to start the notepad window? |

| Thanks for clearing up the first point. Just a little confusing, because I assumed the game would DC you, you'd get the disconnected screen, then the client would reconnect. No big deal though. =)
And for the notepad, usually I'll have a world open, and then hit the notepad button at the top of the window to open a notepad window. If I do that, I get the black on grey window. The only way I can get the black/white window is if I open notepad first, with no worlds open. | | Top |

| I see what you mean. The colour defaults to the colour used in the command area of the current world.
I have added a configuration option to version 3.23 to allow you to override that with your own preference. |
