i have a test mob, an orc, and sometimes after he's killed it says 'Orc IS DEAD' on the screen and it always says that, but othertimes he will leave a corpse and respawn after awhile.

What's the difference here? I notice when it says Orc IS DEAD he wont respawn. is he supposed to?

Also, when he does respawn i notice it doesnt tell me!!! I have to use LOOK or have him attack to find out. Is this supposed to be how it is or can i make it tell you when a mod enters the room??

what you're seeing is the mob not really dying properly...kinda sounds like you've added a new skill/spell that doesnt kill the mob off below the dead position, might wanna recheck anything custom that you've added

as for the creature making a noise when its loaded...most areas on rom dont do this..smaug supports area echos for "about to spawn", been a while since i played in that tho
