| Yes, I have the same problem now that I have switched to a newer cygwin it doen't seem to close the link. Perhaps Mr. Gammon can help out on this one.
I'll save and quit. The program(smaug) itself recognizes I quit but zMUD seems to still think there is a connection. Is it possible that the smaug code for closing the connection isn't working with the new Cygwin? I myself have Cygwin I got a few weeks ago and smaug 1.4 and everything else seems to be fine I just noticed this problem when I went and checked after I saw this post. In the prompt it doesn't mention that the connection was closed after it says that so and so quits.
Any help would be appreciated. I might try to look at the code if I have time but I don't know if I could come close to the problem cause with the older cygwin it worked just fine.

| I've actually been having the same problem lately with my source, but up to now I assumed it had something to do with the copyover and multi ports code I added. However, the problem did I think arise around the same time I started using the newer version of cygwin1.dll....
Or could be something else; either way, I've been having the same problem for over a month now, and I'm at a total loss as to what the cause may be. | Top |
