Two simple requests. Sorry if this was already suggested or in planning.

1) The ability to fire a trig based on a variable i.e.:
Var: orc
Trig: * @target is here!
Send: backstab @target

From world: an orc is here!
Sends: backstab orc

2) The ability to fire a trig based on an alias
Alias: dual * *
Sends: get %1 bag
dual %1

Trig: dual *
To Variable: %1
Trig Label: @DualWpn

Reason beaing, these are simple tasks and creating scripts for each little thing gets tedious and bloats the script file with dozens of Subs that could/should be handled more cleanly within the alias/trig itself.

1) You can do that now if you have "expand variables" checked.

2) I agree in principle this is a nice idea. As a workaround for now, put the "shared" text into a variable, then put the variable name into both the trigger and alias.
