| Right, i have got a task for you all now. I am currently building my own smaug mud. I am a total beginner to this, and learning quickly, from the help of all my friends, and you lot.
First, doesnt anyone know why i keep getting this bug:
[*****] BUG: load_planes: can't open plane file for read.
If you do know what it is, and how to solve it then i would be very greatful if you could tell me.
Secondly, when a user connects to the mud, the first couple of screens they see, how am i able to change them?? All that i am wanting to do is just basically add some colour and birghten up, the login screen, the setting up a charactor screens, and that.
Thirdly, How do i add colour to the title of my mum that is shown when a player loggs in??
Fourthly, doesnt anyone know why i keep getting this other bug:

If you do know what it is, and how to solve it then i would be very greatful if you could tell me.

| The two files that it can't open you can ignore.
They eventually get written out (I'm not sure how) and then that message will go away, alternatively put empty files in of the correct names.
The opening screen is the help topic GREETING in the file help.are.
As for adding colour at the start, I think it is designed not to do that until you supply a name, as until it knows who you are it doesn't know whether or not you want colour. |
