SmaugGrux.exe won't work for me. "Open error on output file." This is probably due to the fact that all directories, with the exception of
\program files\microsoft office (and all subdirectories) are write-protected on these terminals. If it's "hard-coded" to write it to "\smaug\grub.dat" then I can see that that's likely the cause of the problem. Now, how do I fix this? For everything I do (until I get my own computer), assume that my root directory is c:\program files\microsoft office. If it's \smaug for everyone else, then for me it's \program files\microsoft office\mud\smaug (I still have ROM too for reference, and it's more organized to have them both under a mud dir). So how do I get this thing to write the file under the appropriate directory, and for the grub command to read from the appropriate directory subsequently?

You would need to recompile the SMAUG server and the SMAUGgrux program to change their default directories.

I only have the source code for smaug, nor smauggrux. Where can I find the source for smauggrux?

I think you can find the Unix version (which should compile under Cygwin) as part of the full SMAUG source download (available from www.smaug.org).
