| I just created a cleric and custom selected every realm available to him only to have 6 of them disappear when he entered the game. The creation cost still reflects the skills being added as well... 12k per level only to lose half the skills selected is a bit.... harsh to say the least. |

| Curious... just created a new char with a slightly diff skill mixture and none of them were lost.... I suspect the glitch exists when a default group is added then dropped but I cannot be certain of that yet. |

| I know I fixed something in creation relating to creation points for the upcoming 1.69R release... If you don't feel like confirming and tracking down the issue yourself, I suggest wait for that and see if the problem is resolved... if not report it again.

| Not exactly the same problem but i thought i post it here.
I made a custom class called spy. After doing so i proceed to create a default skillsgroup for the class using the editor. Everything worked fine til i went to allocate the cost of the group. I set it to be 35 however it starts telling me that the cost of the group is much more than the cost of the skills individually and the individual cost of the skills is 0?
Can someone shed some light on this situation? Or is this the bug you are refering to in release 1.69r? | Top |

| Sounds like you didnt use the class command to actually assign any skills to your spy class. The bug I referenced earlier is one in which creation points are assigned for skills that are selected and legal for the character but when the creation process is done the skills are gone from the character. |

| Actually, what it sounds like to me is that you are assigning skills to your class that it isn't allowed to have. You must manually set their skills or copy from another class and then modify. It is more than the total cost becuase a) It simply is more, or, b)It is 0 becuase they can't get any of the skills you assigned. |

| Polaris, the class command is what DoT uses to assign skills to classes online so the insanity of file editing to design a new class is avoided. I am uncertain of your comfort level with the DoT editors but your post would seem to indicate you have been editing the skill lists in the classes.txt file. The class command is far simpler and far easier to understand for someone with no code knowledge, and generally even with code knowledge the class command is easier since it doesnt require a seperate program to edit and changes can be made on the fly very easily. The class command also eliminates the need for shell access to create or modify classes, a nice security feature by all means. |
