| Okay i remember in the mud i used to wiz on with some admin friend of mine that his opedit and such actually brung up a fullblown menu that you can simply type in numbers or letters to add or delete and had a ingame note thing for descriptions for items and rooms and such. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this and where to either get it or code it in. | Top |

| This sounds like the (normally) built-in build interface. If it's not activated by default, there may be a define somewhere, or perhaps a config option, that you need to set. I don't know much more, other than that I think it's already in the code. |

| Ok, what kind of mud was it? I think that what your describing was available, or partially so, in versions of smaug, but in SWR, for example, it was completely taken out. |

| Ksilyan i think you have it nailed on the dot. I know its not what it shows me right now when i say type in say this:
<3000hp 5000m 3100mv> opedit
Build: Lordrom: opedit
Syntax: opedit <object> <command> [number] <program> <value>
Command being one of:
add delete insert edit list
Program being one of:
act speech rand wear remove sac zap get
drop damage repair greet exa use
pull push (for levers,pullchains,buttons)
Object should be in your inventory to edit.
To what i remember its an actual menu of the object and all you have to do is type in opedit <object> and it brings it up, same with the rooms and mobs. You wouldnt happen to know where the toggle is for this would you ksilyan? Or anyone else would know? | Top |

| I never knew opedit could do that. oset or mset have a function like that, its done like "oset <object> on", but you probably already know that. |

| Sounds like he's talking about the Oasis OLC port to Resortmud to me. Pretty nifty. So much so that I installed it into AFKMud as well :) | Top |
