| How do I stop mortal characters from going beyond level 45?
I think I saw some thing about this somewhere around this website I don't want to look through all the pages. And about the skill how do I remove them completely? I went to the skills.dat and deleted all but 5 and saved then I tried to start the mud and DOS thing appeared and the disappeared. Any help? | Top |

| For the max level, you could just make a ifcheck, on level up. Such as if the level it tries to advance you to is higher than 45, then return. Or you could define the immortal levels as 46 and up. |

| Assuming your gonna keep 5 levels of immship, you need to change MAX_LEVEL in mud.h to 50, then search through your files(try grep) for any hard references to level. Shouldn't be many, the immortal channels in act_comm has some, can't remember much more. But that should do it. Your gonna wanna change the levels of your commands and skills as well. Hope that helps. As to why it wouldn't load, make sure that your properly removed the skills and didn't leave part of one. Also, make sure you leave the languages, just check through what you removed. Also make sure you removed the assign gsn's in db.c. |
