| Greetings. I've had this issue a few times, with different releases of MUSHclient and I've not managed to solve it yet.
What happens is that MUSHclient is outputting the received text a lot slower than what it's getting.
Example, if I just hold down the enter key for about a second and release, MUSHclient sends a newline to the mud for each command, which brings the prompt back up after each line. Now, I don't SEE the multitude of prompts until well after I should, that is I've already released the enter key.
Likewise, in receiving large blocks of text at a time, the output will 'jump' or skip. I don't see it scroll, I see nothing, except the infobar (part of my system updates this on the prompt) flashing as MUSHclient tries to match/output the spam. After the spam stops (My character has died, or the spam is gone) I'll get the massive block of text in the output. No Scrolling, just 'pop' it's there.
I'll be taking a small screencast to try and show you what I mean, and It is my hope that it'll help to make the output/trigger matching better or faster in dealing with 'spam'. Thanks

| I can't really reproduce that. Using Ubuntu and wine-1.0.1 and doing something like this:
/ for i = 1, 10 do Send "score" end
It seems to scroll the data by pretty quickly.
Check File -> Global Preferences -> General. Make sure "very smooth scrolling" is not checked. Maybe checking "smoother scrolling" might help, or uncheck it if it is checked. |
