| Do you mean downloading? Getting the file *to* your computer?
Anyway, problems with slashes and things might be caused by incorrect line terminations, depending on what operating system you are using.
There are some free utilities in my downloads area (see top of this page) that convert to/from Unix and DOS text file formats. |

| | Still sounds like line endings. Make sure you have ftp in ASCII mode (not binary). |
