i did try run smaug 1.4a windows compiled version on linux by wine and work fine apparently, apart reboot..
Is good use wine for run smaug or not convenient? | | Top |

| If you have a Linux box it is probably preferable to compile Smaug natively (not using Wine).
Also Smaug 1.4a is a pretty old version.
More recent versions are at https://smaugmuds.afkmods.com/
They will have been kept more up-to-date and are more likely to compile under modern C compilers.
