| I don't know how many people frequent the forum these days but.
I would like to take all combat text away from the main window and move it to a combat text window. the reason I want to do this is the mud I play is very spammy with combat text when multiple people/mobs are involved and floods the screen with all the actions.
a sample of the combat text is this.
Battle with gopher begins.
You hit Gopher with your rod of fire moderately.
person2 hits gopher with longsword lightly.
person3 holds out a hand and send a mystic shard toward Gopher.
A shard of mystical energy flies into Gopher!
HP:468 SP:312 EP:104 Gopher(bleeding moderately)
Gopher charges you with a powerful blow.
You hit Gopher with your rod of fire harshly.
Player aims the rod of fire and sends a ball of flame into
gopher!
person2 hits gopher with longsword lightly.
person3 hits gopher with staff moderately
HP:466 SP:277 EP:92 Gopher(nearly dead)
You got 500 xp.
gopher died horribly.
gopher drops 3 gold, 6 silver and 13 copper coins.
gopher dies.
this is just an example with a few people and one MOB, sometime you have multiple MOBs and way more players involved in the combat. and it gets really hectic. any help would be appreciated. | Top |

| There are a few chat miniwindow examples on this forum, for example:

Making a combat one is just a case of matching on different things to go into the window (combat rather than chat). |
