| I can't seem to add weapons and armor to mobs in the area editor in smaug or rom24. Is there a way to add that into the editor or is it there and i'm not seeing it.
I see some items have a giveto in the reference screen but how do it get entered in there?
I tried to add rest to item but could not choose mod to give it to.
Sorry its most likely right in my face but I can't seem to get it. |

| From what I understand, and have been doing for quite some time, it's relatively simple.
1. Make the Mob
2. Make the item/wep/armor/etc.
3. Add reset for the mob (obviously this requires a room to put him/her/it into)
4. Do an 'add reset' right after the spawning reset (step 3) for that mob, check 'equip' as the type of reset (not give, unless you just want it in their inventory vs. being worn/wielded or held or whatever) and then use the menu system below that to select the item and wear_loc you want it to go into.
I've never had a problem with doing it that way before. Is this what you've been trying? This is what works for me with 1.4a / FUSS and the like, but if you're not using those then it may not apply as much. Either way, hope that helps.

| First you need to put the mob into a room.
To do this, go to a room, and in the summary screen (tab) click on "add mob". Choose a mob from the list.
Then once the mob is in the room (doing the above actually adds a reset to achieve that), then click on the mob in the "References" list for that room, and then the "Equip" button will be highlighted (activated). Click on that to equip that mob. That will add another reset for that room. Keep doing that as many times as you want to equip the mob with various things.
