Make a backup of your current code, then do:
patch < global_boards.patch
Ok, next, do the following, then make clean and compile!
Open mud.h, search for CON_PLAYING, after the last con state, put:
, CON_NOTE_TO, CON_NOTE_SUBJECT, CON_NOTE_EXPIRE, CON_NOTE_TEXT,
CON_NOTE_FINISH.
next, search for PC_DATA, at the end of it, put:
GLOBAL_BOARD_DATA *board;
time_t last_note[MAX_BOARD];
NOTE_DATA *in_progress;
after i did that i got a error in the code. Maybe idid osmething wrong or i dont know. Please help me out and fix this. | Top |

| That would help immensely, there are plenty of folk here (and a few other forums as well, particularly at forums.smaugfuss.org) who are qualified and more than happy to help you out, but asking about an error like that without providing us with what the error actually said is rather like someone asking you over the phone something like "I don't understand, why's the sky that color today?" and refusing to give you anything else to go on when you know they know that you don't even know where they live beyond the fact that it's not even in the same geographic region as you...
[EDIT - 11 March 2008] - The Smaug FUSS site is now http://www.smaugmuds.org/ |

| You'll also need to tell us specifically which codebase you tried to apply that to. Many of the smaug snippets out there are patches against much older versions that what exist now and trying to apply them automatically will almost always fail. | Top |
