Problems with Pennmush Starting up

I have returned after more then 20 years to Pennmush, I installed the new win 32 version on my pc to test out stuff.

I wanted to use my old database so I copied them over the exsisting (first made an back up)

I am getting this in the log:

How can I import an old database from 2002 into a fresh new pennmush install?

I am doing this on an win32 based 1.8 pennmush.

I also have an Debian Linux system where I will eventually try to install Pennmush on for self hosting for my friends.

That site doesnt seem to be working. All I get is red codes.

First off.. been a looong time :)

Anyway I scrolled down all the way and found the register option. But it was all in code at the top of the page. Can make an screenie though.

PS: tried to find you mail addy in my old files but I doubt it will still work even if I found it.

btw, digging through more then 50+ backup CDroms I found an working old Pennmush and my database from my old mush from 1999 - 2002 is running.

Not all the codes work unfortunately but those must be the ones I have to hardcode files for. My question is, how can I make it that the latest pennmush can use that database?

The last time I was deeply involved in Pennmush was around 2001, judging by the dates of the files in http://www.gammon.com.au/files/pennmush/. That’s a long time ago.

I don’t know how to convert the older databases to the newer format, and what the differences are.

I suggest you follow Fiendish’s suggestion and post a question on the Pennmush Git page. The Pennmush page also links to that Git page.
