Well, it's a late night and I just discovered something nifty for myself that I really am not in a mood to research too thoroughly, especially when someone else likely knows the answer..... Anyway, SmaugFUSS 1.7's load_projects function apparently for some reason crashes the game... If projects.txt file that is normally generated by the MUD exists, it crashes on hotboot/startup. I'll probably look into it with more depth at some later date, some time when it isn't 3 AM, prove to be useless in that aspect, then rewrite the entire projects system to one that better suits my needs... But it'd be nice if I could actually fix it, and this CAN'T be the first time anybody's ever encountered this problem...

I'm using FUSS myself, and project works fine for me. Have you tried posting on the FUSS forums about this?

There are several fixes to the project command posted there already, perhaps you should double check that all of them are in your code and that it's otherwise as it should be. My code is based on SmaugFUSS (albeit an older version that's been hand upgraded most of the way to 1.7 along with lots of other changes) and the project command works just fine for us too. *shrug*

That IS odd.... The thing is, after on my MUD using the command was having issues I loaded some base smaugfuss as well, without a single change of any kind, booted the MUD, added an arbitrary project (project add pie), saved the projects, then hotbooted.... which of course caused a crash...

Searching for things for the project command involving smaugfuss tends not to be the most helpful thing on earth considering that it's usually called "the smaug fuss project". Furthermore, all fixxes for the projects system I could find on the smaugfuss forums were already implimented (not that any of those would account for this particular crash.) I suppose I'll move my ruckass over at the smaugfuss forums I guess though, since I haven't a clue what's going wrong.

I believe Samson already resolved this one on the FUSS Project forums at http://www.fussproject.org/index.php?a=topic&t=959&p=3378#p3378
